Backcountry skiing in Utah makes for an awesome day of leg burning, amazing views, and even better snow. As you drive up Little Cottonwood canyon up and arrive at Alta, look to the north and you’ll see the most powerful big mountain chutes in the world. You’ll see Mount Superior, Cardiff Peak, and Flagstaff Mountain. If you can time it just right you can enjoy nice south facing chutes on this epic mountain ridge.
