وصف الفيديو:

When I heard koa trees on the Big Island were being stripped of their greenery by koa moths I had to go to see! Koa moths (Scotorythra paludicole) are endemic to Hawaii and for the most part, live inconspicuously on koa trees. But every 50 years or so their population explodes and they defoliate the trees! The last time this occurred on the Big Island was in the 1950s. Take a look at this amazing sight!
